Coffee Shop

Thirty six years ago I had my first cup of coffee. I was on a plane, traveling from NY to California, alone. I was 7. My mother boarded me at LaGuardia, and my grandparents would pick me up in San Fransisco. I had only smelled coffee previously, and I liked what I knew of it. The flight attendant . . . asked what I wanted to drink. “I’ll have a coffee,” I said . . . “black.”

We are excited to share with you that we have reached another huge milestone in our company history this past week when we installed a coffee roaster in the adjacent storefront to the café. That’s right…Perkolator Coffee now roasts our own coffee in house! We couldn’t be more excited to bring this kind of venture to our awesome corner of the city.  

A subtle nod to our neighborhood’s history (and a once beloved method of coffee brewing), we’ve updated the name of our Sputnik Espresso Blend to Electric Perk Espresso Blend!
