We’re proud of our first direct trade partnership with Finca La Loma, a family-run farm located in Fraternidad, Ocotepeque, Honduras. Direct trade ensures that the farmers receive an above-market fair price, allowing them to reinvest in their land, support their workers, and continue improving quality. This lot offers a smooth, balanced cup with notes of bright citrus, sweet brown sugar, and soft milk cocoa. We roast it to a medium-light roast to highlight its natural sweetness and round body.

The Abadatezuka Cooperative is a group of smallholder farmers in Rwanda's Western Province who deliver their coffee in cherry to the Cyato Washing Station. We chose their coffee deliberately because of the tasting notes: the first sip almost suggests a dark hot cocoa, but then it takes a nice turn to bring the fruity, winey, berry notes. It's all balanced by a light mulling spice nuance…a real crowd pleaser! This coffee was intentionally processed utilizing anaerobic fermentation, which we find often brings out an increase in the intensity of fruit and acidity and a slight increase in the body.
